I’ve got the blocked drain plumber coming today. This is for the blocked kitchen sink that I noticed when I cleaned the kitchen a couple of days ago. The same blocked kitchen sink that my workmates blissfully ignored and failed to mention for the first four months of us working here. It’s a bit silly that I was the one who had to call the commercial plumbers who service workplaces in Melbourne when we have a full admin team that is probably supposed to do that as their job. Oh well, I probably shouldn’t have had to clean the kitchen in the first place but I did that so clearly job descriptions don’t mean as much as they used to.
It’s so funny because I’m also the person who is waiting for the commercial plumbers to arrive. I should’ve applied to be the receptionist at this company rather than a software engineer. I’m doing a much better job at getting things organised and making sure things happen than our receptionist is. Oh well, I guess we can’t be good at everything.
I’m glad that I called Melbourne’s most established commercial plumbing company to come and fix the blocked kitchen sink in our office. I really do need to get back to work as I have a big website build that is due in a week. I don’t really have time to sit here and wait for the commercial plumber to arrive and then oversee them as they do their work and direct them to the issue, but alas, I signed up for this job by calling them in the first place so I need to see it out until the end.
Anyway, this isn’t the most interesting blog post I’ve ever written. I usually try to keep my blog entertaining for the very few readers that I actually have but today’s has been very dull and probably quite boring.
