Last night I had an absolutely insane dream. I’m sure compared to some of your dreams it wasn’t very interesting at all, but when you compare them to my regular ones where I’m simply going about my day, this was crazy. I had dropped into this place that looked a bit like a wonderland in the sense that the trees were spherical, the grass was so green that it looked almost as though it physically should not exist, and the clouds were made of literal marshmallows.
My friend has recently gifted me this cool Australian botanical wallpaper, and I feel my brain took inspiration from that to create the wildest plants and flora imaginable within my dream. There were flowers taller than me, with big blue eyes where the petals should have been. The eyes followed the sun, but when you moved they turned to follow you, too. There was coral that should have been in the ocean but was instead in the dirt, and it had large thorns sticking out of each piece. I didn’t go near it in the dream, but I saw butterflies resting on it as though it didn’t have any thorns at all.
The animals in my dream were probably inspired by that temporary unicorn wall decal I installed on my bedroom walls a couple of weeks ago. This dream wonderland was filled with rainbow unicorns galloping around the world, and some of them even had wings! I was a bit too scared to try and ride one, but I know that if I ever appear in this dream again I’m going to just do it anyway. Usually, my dreams are just about me going to school or ordering food at my local fast food restaurant, so I’m trying to find the source of these dreams. I really want to have them again. Maybe I can visit my local wallpaper store to buy more wallpaper, since that seems to be the logical answer as to what inspired my dream.
