Living in a sharehouse is a funny experience. It has its ups and downs. All in all I’d say it’s mostly ups which is really good. I’m so happy to be living with friends and experiencing everything life has to offer with them. We’ve supported each other through everything. There’s been tears, more laughs than we can count and a genuine lifelong friendship built between the four of us. I am as happy as I can be.
We’ve seriously become adults together. My housemate Alice showed me how to fix slow internet because I work from home and she’s really good with technology. She’s really assertive and great at getting things done and so she spoke to our service provider to get it all sorted out on my behalf. I was very grateful that she would do that for me because I often struggle doing things like that myself.
My housemates are all different and bring incredible, unique qualities to our home. Elle is soft spoken and fiercely loyal. Bonnie wears her heart on her sleeve. I’m so lucky to live with such strong, independent women who are really making a difference in my life. You should have seen how well my housemates worked together to fix our internet problems. Melbourne homes pretty much all have bad internet because the government messed up the NBN rollout, so fixing internet problems is like a day in the life of a Melbournian.
Anyway, I just came to the realisation that it’s likely none of you care about my living situation or my housemates. I am just so happy with my life that I wanted to share it all with you. Things are fantastic, life is fantastic. No amount of slow internet could ruin how good my life is and how happy I am. I hope you all find the same level of happiness sometime soon. It’s truly the best.
